A Love That Lasted A Lifetime
A Love That Lasted A Lifetime Studio - Photography by Phos3/Phos3 Images Artist/Photographer - Kathryn Parent Image size - 6000x4000px Resolution -300dpi Camera - Pentax K3 Processed - Photoshop "Life wasn't always easy in fact there were many bumps in the road." Hiccups she would call them. "And just like hiccups you take a deep breath, concentrate and work hard at it the hiccups will go away. Just never give up!" "Respect each other, don't assume anything of each other, never go to bed angry or go out the door angry." Such wise words! These two love birds celebrated 58 years of marriage together. I caught this adorable inter action between the two of them. As they gazed into eachothers eyes, she caresses his cheek as he kisses her thumb. On her index finger she wears an infinity ring. This was their last vacation together, the last time we would be all together as a family. Yes this is my mother and father. She got sick in September - It was cancer that came back. She was a cancer survivor from the early 70's. She had a radical Mastectomy. This time she couldn't beat it. A month after she got sick, a short seven months to the day I took this photo in (March or 2014), she passed away in October to become another star in the sky. Dad could never get over losing "the love of my life for 58 years." For the next five years dad celebrated their anniversary alone, sad and empty. He did his best to be strong for us even as his health was failing, we told him it was ok to leave this world and be with his love. Dad left this earth November 2019 to dance once again with mom. I was so privileged to experience this type of love - The love of a lifetime. The blockchain has given me the opportunity to share their love and keep their memory alive forever. Who are we? If you don't know us, let me introduce us to you… We are Kathryn and Dave a husband and wife team, life partners and soul mates. Our Name: Phos3 Phos³ (superscript3) or for web Phos3 - Where did this name come from? Well after a great deal of thought we wanted something unique without using our names as many photographers do. Yet when we want to take credit for a their photo we can put our individual names on it. Phos - is Greek for light. We pronounce Phos like boss. Superscript ³ - is multi-dimensional - it is perfect balance, aesthetics, tripod, rules of thirds in photography, 3 dimensions, the 3 elements - earth, wind and fire and in DNA, black, white and colour, three component of water H2O, the number 3 is a funnel for energy. The number three - Is a power number! … and our tag words - Light ∙ Vision ∙ Emotion Speaking of Light ∙ Vision ∙ Emotion - here is a brief description of how these 3 tag words came to be. Light - There must be light in order to see. Photography is about capturing the light. A photograph cannot be taken without light. ∙ Vision - Vision is the composition of the frame. It's the artist's inner eye, how we perceive what we are seeing and how we want to portray it to you. ∙ Emotion - "Hopefully if we have done our job right, using light to capture the vision that we see, it will stimulate some sort of an emotion within you, letting you feel the story" "We Shoot to Thrill” www.phos3.com
