Dune's Veil
In Dune’s Veil, the artist stands alone among the shifting sands of Lençóis Maranhenses in northern Brazil, a bright crimson scarf obscuring his face, caught in the wind. This piece is an exploration of the human tendency to feel lost despite being surrounded by beauty, to seek escape from a life that is already full. The dunes become a symbol of both confinement and freedom, a place where the artist remains blind to his own contentment. Through haunting slow motion, Dune’s Veil invites the viewer to contemplate the journey we all take—one where fulfillment is not found in escape, but in presence and self-acceptance. This was captured while shooting an experimental short film in the national park, immersing fully in the surreal beauty of the deserted landscape. Purchases of 1/1s from the "Lost" collection will go towards completing the experimental short film shot in the desert using drones. Collectors of the lost collection will be credited as EPs. Screenings of the film will take place at IRL events in the coming months.

An experiment in art and film, this is the first of 5 pieces that challenge art collectors to step into the role of film producer. By winning each auction, the purchaser will be credited as Executive Producer on the film, earning no rights or ownership to the film apart from the joy of knowing they facilitated a piece of filmic art to cross the post-production finish line.
