Kathryn Freed and Patterson spearheaded legalization. 1998 the organizer for NYC International Tattoo Convention. 1986 created the Clayton Cap. 1988, with the assistance of Elsa Rensaa shot a video that helped classify the night as the Tompkins Square Park Police Riot. A game changer having the riot classified as a police riot and the introduction of the handheld commercially available video camera to the world of documenting police brutality and protests. On the Oprah Winfrey show held up the camera and made the statement: “Little Brother is Watching Big Brother”. The concept was born. 1995 Connected with Jochen Auer and his Wildstyle and Tattoo Messe show. Got American Sideshow and tattoo artist and later Asian artists to the show. In 1998 Dietmar Kirves created the NO!art website and archive. Dietmar is the Head NO!art East and myself Head of NO!art West. Dietmar and I keep the struggle, the ideals, the positions, as we understand them, and in respect to Boris Lurie, alive. Boris Lurie (RIP) at the time was the remaining founder of NO!art,and he gave us our positions. Elsa Rensaa, my partner since 1972, She says and I quote: “We are Clayton”. Without her I would be nothing and have nothing. I owe her everything. Love and Respect. I am blessed to have really good people around me. In part because I was able to carry on the struggle of NO!art, and the adventure Elsa and I have been on since we went underground, has been our greatest blessing.
