"Self-portrait at Stone Mountain" by Kris Graves
Stone Mountain Confederate Monument is the largest of its kind in the United States. The carving depicts Confederate leaders of the Civil War: President Jefferson Davis, Generals Robert E. Lee and Thomas "Stonewall" Jackson on their favorite horsies. This photograph sparked the idea to capture as many Confederate monuments and memorials as I could. I shot over 200 over the course of 30 days and 5000 miles. The project is entitled "A Southern Horror"
