Comment:

There seems to be a historic and spiritual kinship between water and black people. Waters’ ability to take shape, to adapt to its environment, to hydrate and be a source of renewal, are features very much comparable to that of the creative force of members of the African Diaspora. We are continuously going into the depths of our creativity and experience, exploring the coral reefs of our emotional landscape, the lights above are from generations past and the future ahead. We move forward, and swim gracefully against the tide, the water ushering us forward anyways. We become one.
